Follow the instructions below to secure your wallet.
You will need to download Coinbase Wallet and be prepared to proceed with the next step.
You will then need to log in using your recovery phrase. Be sure to securely record it and store it in a safe location.
Next, you will need to transfer all of your assets from the compromised wallet to your new wallet.
This new wallet will securely store your assets while we conduct an investigation and work to resolve any issues.
To get started, download the Coinbase Wallet app from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Once the app is installed, open it and select the option "I already have a wallet." Next, choose "Enter a recovery phrase" and carefully input your 12-word recovery phrase - which can be found below.
After that, click "Import Wallet" to proceed. You will then be prompted to create a username for your wallet, which you can do so if you would like.
For your security, please remember that your unique recovery phrase is critical for accessing your Coinbase wallet account. It is strictly private and must never be shared with anyone, including Coinbase support staff. Coinbase will never ask you for your recovery phrase or any sensitive account information via email, phone, or chat. If anyone requests it, it is likely a phishing attempt.

Open the Coinbase Wallet app and click “Receive”. Then, select “Connect to Coinbase” and click “Authorize”.
Next, open the Coinbase app and click the “Send” button. Choose the asset you wish to send, then select “Coinbase Wallet” as the recipient.
Click “Max” to send the full amount and proceed with the transfer.
If you get prompted to verify your ID so the funds can get sent quicker, please do so. This will help our investigation conclude faster.
If you are unable to send any assets, you may need to convert them to a supported asset before completing the transfer.
The new wallet will securely store your assets during the investigation process, ensuring that they remain protected from any potential risks associated with the compromised wallet.
By transferring your assets to a new wallet, we can mitigate the possibility of unauthorized access or further security vulnerabilities while we work to identify and resolve the issues with your current wallet.
This precautionary measure allows us to thoroughly investigate the situation without putting your funds at additional risk, ensuring the integrity of your assets throughout the resolution process.
